Not dead…

... just in an area with no internet access for the past week. I think I've developed a nasty facial tick.

Before I start (too late), we don't get Halloween here. So this one is for you. Today's Tune.

We just spent a lovely week up the Central Coast in Gosford at Rachel's parents' place. They have a warehouse up there so its like our loft on steroids. Its been hot and getting hotter. Yes, in the 30's. And yes, I know it's cold and rainy in Vancouver. Maybe now is a good time to come out and visit us here!

So tomorrow is a red letter day in the Newton household. We've changed our Internet plan to allow 'unlimited' downloads! But it doesn't take effect until Nov. 1st. It's not totally unlimited. You get 10 gigs of downloading bliss then they switch you to dial-up speed. Oh well. 10 gig is a wee bit better than the current 500 mb allowance. Maybe its time to set up the web cam again.

So I saw that they released AOE III on the 20th of October. Woo Hoo! So I smashed open my piggy bank jar and headed to the closest Electronic Boutique. Clutching my hard earned cash in my hands, I walked up to the counter, set down my money and looked up at the spotty faced teenager behind the counter. "Please sir, may I have a copy of Age of Empires 3?" I said with big puppy dog eyes.

With his pubescent voice cracking he replied, "Sorry sir, that game doesn't' come out in Australia until November 30th."

wtf?

So I hit him. Right across the jaw. He had it coming.

Whats up with that? I mean, it's not like the game has to be translated into Australian. Though, now that I mention it, Aussies do talk funny.

"Oye! I thinks I sees me an enemy there! Strewth mate! I reckon I'll shoot 'im where the Sheila stands! Better yet, I'll sick me dingo on 'em. Fair Dinkum!"

But still!! So I did the only think I could do... I've asked Bruno to Fedex me a copy. It may take longer but what the hey.
