Seattle Weekend
I could go on and on about the great time we had in Seattle over the weekend. About how we went to a Mariners game and saw them win, ate hotdogs and drank beer. How we stayed downtown at the Crown Plaza and spent a warm Saturday evening walking the streets going into funky little lounges and experimenting with new cocktails and fine scotch. How we gorged ourselves (literally) on Top Pot doughnuts Sunday morning before heading out of town to the factory outlets. Or how we watched a brilliant sunset as we headed back over the border (no wait!) to make it home late last night.
But really, I only care about this. My new toy.
Not as cheap as the Canon 50mm 1.8 and not nearly as expensive as the smoking 50mm 1.2. This should keep me busy for a while. Finally I can use something different than a wide angle and I can give Roger back his 100mm. This should keep me happy for a while... as long I stop looking.

I’ve never had Oban. How is it? I favour the smokey, peaty scotches (my favourite being Lagavulin). Yeah, you smell like a camp fire, but it’s worth it!

Grim: Scotchy makes me drunky.
Fred: oops. its the Canon 50mm/f1.4 USM. For the money, it is suppose to be a great lens. However, I keep hearing how the 50mm/f1.2 is unbelievable. However, for $1200 more, it should be.

So the scotch was an ends to a means, rather than a means itself?
