Laura's dog Mook has become ill which has us all a little concerned. He's only a puppy (about 9 months I think?) and is shivering pretty bad. He's a bit more mobile today than he was yesterday though moving looks like it's quite a chore for him. He was 'fixed' a couple of months ago after which he became quite ill as well. So this isn't the first time he has been like this.
Its very heartbreaking to see though. If he moves at all, he sheepishly walks (very slowly) to different parts of the house and shelters himself under something, be it a chair or a table. His ears (which are normally up and floppy) are pinned back, his back is arched over and his tale pulled down between his legs. He's been to the vet. Twice. He's gotten some antibiotics as they think he may have obtained some kind of infection. Poor poochie.
Though Rachel and I both think that he's one of the funniest looking dogs we've seen in a while, it didn't take long for us to realize that with his normally playful personality (he likes to surprise you with a french kiss when you are least expecting it... I really think he tries to do this as a challenge), Mook is very cute and is as much a part of this family as... well, me. Actually, if given the choice, I'm pretty sure Rachel's family would rather have Mook around...
Posted by shnewt at April 14, 2005 06:21 PMOh my God! My heart is breaking for Mook! What a cutie, and he looks so sad :-( You better take good care of him, and let him french kiss you as much as he's able. It will do wonders for his recovery. I'm a nurse. Believe me.

Posted by: Spanky at April 15, 2005 06:30 AMIs this sappy story just an excuse to show off all the computers in the house?
